BTCC: Donington Park

Round 3 of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship, at Donington Park (Yeah the same place as Download :p) abyway is all happening on the 16th & 17th May, get that Sleeping Bag and Tent ready.

Same as last year if anyone interested in popping along, We shall be meeting up in Brighouse or Shelley on the way down early on Saturday Morning, We shall be watching all the qualifying and the races. This includes 3 BTCC Races, Ginetta Jnr’s and G50’s and the Renault Clio Cup.

Space in my car will be very limited, i might be able to squeeze a couple of small ones in, as normal i will be bringing the BBQ stuff for Saturday night and the breakfast bits for a classic Donny Fryup in the morning.

I have one of those Book of Face Events listed, so let me know if you are coming. Ticket available online from Donington Park Online, i have weekend with camping, i haven't bought a Grandstand ticket, paddock access is usually free or pay on the door.

Pot Noodle Fork FTW !!!

So then to put you all in the picture, I saw the new pot noodle advert with the spinning fork the other day.  The advert did the trick and i immediately wanted one, they say you can win one in special pot noodle packs.  I then found out that you can actually buy them from the Pot Noodle site for a bargain price of £3.99.  Well it turned up today, Yay !!!

  

The fork is quite chunky, and the fork bits are wavy, this looks cool but we shall see later if it hinders eating the noodle.  I need to wait until I get paid so that i can go and get a king pot noodle to try it on, in the meantime here a spinning video of the forky goodness.

Randomly Random Update

I’m bored so its update time, Still got Setanta (yay) just a shame the quality of the programming sucks.  I bought a cool little Bluetooth Headset for my N95 the other day, its a genuine Nokia one which is nice (no its not a Bid-Up TV special, its from Tesco)  I right fancy a nice Black Housing for my N95 now, i just don't want it to mess up my Orange Care insurance.  Whilst being bored is have been going thru people blogs, Matt I think it maybe update time.  Ah How Chris had a Good little link over on his site Bordagen so i though i would share.

Halifax wrote to me the other day requesting I pay them some money, on the back of the letter is give the card types: Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Switch Maestro.  So i give them a ring and attempt to pay on Mastercard, but they don't accept it, so why put it the bloody letter

In other news, i updated my iPod to version 2.1 and started getting a funky error message about the sync service not being able to connect.  If any one else has this issue see here on how to fix, this guy is a legend.

Sultana Setanta Shite'anta

Hey Peeps, so then last Sunday i bought my self a nice new Freeview Box with 3 months of Setanta Sports for free.  Sunday Night saw me setting up the box with the TV, all went well.  Monday after work i gave Setanta a call and got my trial all setup.  It seemed simple, Leave the Freeview on channel 5 for 1hr and then turn to channel 34 and hey presto live footy.

Or Not....... The thing would not receive the signal from Setanta, i was advised to leave it for longer (apparently it can take up to 2hrs) so i left it on for 23hrs still nothing. Tuesday comes around and i give them another ring, i have to to a full rescan and check that my aerial is plugged in (!!!! What kind of idiot do they think i am) Still nothing.  Wednesday Night phone call is the same, turn it off and on leave for 4 hrs (strange it was 2 the other night) STILL NOTHING, im really getting pissed off now, so i banged out a 3page email to customer services, no-one emailled back or telephoned me.  I rang up Thursday to tell them to shove the fucking thing up their ass, but i cant even do that. "Sorry Sir in order to cancel you must write a formal letter and mail it to us, that way we can cancel your contract."

Friday home from work and tv on to watch a bid of bid up, and the fucker resets and starts channel scanning, and Setanta pops up fully working (well its still says at the bottom that i need a viewing card, but that goes after 3 seconds). So what the fuck guys, i must have spend a months subscription charge ringing your premium rate customer service line.
